Understanding this disorder and the required parenting is vital to provide the unique balance of nurturing and structure that these children must have to heal. I have attempted to pull together resources to help each of you. I hope you can attend a seminar so we can share face to face. The WAY you do the techniques is important. Remember to keep your eyes filled with love and be a parent they feel safe enough to bond to. Yes, there will be times when you would rather strangle them then hug them. No, they will not feel safe enough to trust and bond to you if they see that in your eyes! We can’t heal their wounded hearts with anger and pain! We must be powerful and loving in a balance to help them heal. They can heal. I have lived with them and watched them blossom into loving, caring human beings.

Our Camps are designed to help families to connect and help challenging children to redirect their paths. The focus of camp is to renew, recharge, and empower each parent and child with effective techniques to increase love & laughter in their homes. Skill building interventions will be taught and practiced to build trust, honesty, self-control and conscience development for each child.

Many of us learn by reading, or hearing new information. Most of us learn best in a hand's on approach. Living the techniques and experiencing the change is the camp goal. Families can then return home and continue to successfully improve relationships with their new skills. Learning in a beautiful environment away from daily distractions surrounded by support and encouragement has been a turning point for many. The tools work! The staff is uplifting and skilled! The food is fantastic! The laughter is contagious. The memories are priceless. Join us and change your life.

Each morning the parents attend three hours of a training, encouragement, and support session. They then practice the new skills with staff support to fine-tune the interventions. The lessons are:

• Understanding the brain and how to heal it
• Creating and maintaining the heart to heart connection
• Helping a child develop honesty, conscience and self-control
• Teaching children to be respectful, responsible and fun
• Teach your child how to deal with thoughts and feelings
• Building self-worth
